"I am frequently travelling to all five continents and I must say, this hotel provides some of the best value for money that I have ever seen. You learn to appreciate it after having had to stay in so many overpriced places where service is bad and the staff is quite arrogant. Here it's the exact opposite! I was especially impressed that when I ordered room service the portions where big and the price was not more than in any restaurant around the corner. PLEASE keep it up. You guys are doing a great job here!!"

"As in real Estate, Location, Location, Location. Then add to the people. The end result is, (an overused statement but very true), a GREAT HOTEL! I was there in Feb. '09 for business. I didn't rent a vehicle, (parking cost is a killer) so I was pretty much at the right place for business and for pick up by colleagues. I did do breakfast one morning, the view was spectacular. The room was clean and offered everything I needed for business. I could say more, but the best way to know how good The Avenue is, is a stay and find out for yourself. Almost sorry to tell everyone about The Avenue, because the best hidden jewels are soon lost when everyone knows where to find them. Thank you to The Avenue Staff and Management."

"Great hotel in a great Chicago location"
"I went to Chicago for a one day teaching symposium this past week and had originally had a reservation at the Red Roof Inn in the same part of town because it was close to where I needed to go and the price was right. After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I decided to give Priceline a try. I put in what I was paying at the Red Roof, said I only wanted a 4-star hotel, and to my surprise, my price was accepted by the Avenue Hotel. Checking out its website, I was immediately excited!
My short stay didn't disappoint me. I arrived around 11 pm since my train didn't arrive until 10.30 pm. Check in was quick, efficient and friendly. The receptionist asked if my conference was in the hotel. When I told her no, she got out a map and asked me where it was so that she could give me directions. That was a very nice touch. She also asked me for a wake-up call. It was nice to have someone anticipate my needs so that I didn't have to get to my room and call back down, or search for directions the next morning.
The room itself was on the 21st floor (Room 2101). I found the décor and linens to be very nice. The desk was large, which I like in a hotel.
The next morning, I got a wake-up call on time from a real person, which I thought was a very nice touch. I loved the pod coffee maker in the room. Check out was a breeze in the room with a receipt immediately e-mailed to me. (By the way, wireless internet is free, which is great. I hate paying a lot for a hotel and then having to shell out another 10 to 15 dollars to get internet.) I would definitely return to this hotel. "

"Great Hotel"
"Great location and great hotel. The room was a good size for a large city hotel. Comfortable bed and pillows, good coffee in room, checked in early with no problem, great views of Michigan Ave. I will stay here again and recommend it to everyone."
